Feeling Stuck?

Do you feel like you’ve been working your butt off only to find yourself feeling “kind of blah” at the end of the day or worse? When something traumatic happens, it’s extremely common to feel disconnected from yourself and your body. Likewise, people can sometimes feel closed off from the ones around them even if they truly desire closeness. You may find yourself becoming easily startled and find difficulty in trusting others. Maybe you just start to avoid certain people or places altogether. This disconnect often comes from a variety of defense mechanisms that were activated during times of distress. However, even as time passes, it can still feel “too risky” to bring the walls down. Often, people are reminded of the things they want to forget and this can make it hard to concentrate during the day or to get a restful night’s sleep. Sometimes it can feel like you’re staying awake only to continue tearing yourself down inside your head. This can feel very lonely and create inaccurate beliefs about ourselves.

Common Beliefs That May Be Keeping You Stuck

I’m not worth it

Something’s wrong with me

I’m not enough

 I’m unlovable

 I’m powerless

The list goes on. . .

If you find yourself holding onto similar belief patterns that no longer serve you, know that these can be released and replaced with beliefs that are authentic and empowering!

What Are My Next Steps?

Make an appointment. Appointments can be made by phone call, email, or by booking online. When booking online, you will be prompted to select an appointment for a Diagnostic Assessment. Select a time that works best for you and provide your contact information.

Complete the intake packet. After you have requested an appointment, fillable intake forms will be sent to you via email. Please be sure to check your junk and spam folder.

Please note: This packet needs to be completed and submitted for your appointment to be officially reserved. If your intake paperwork is not received before your appointment time, your appointment will be canceled.

Proceed with Therapy Intake Session. A Therapy Intake Session (a.k.a a Diagnostic Assessment) is where I ask you questions about your life such as your overall social background, medical history, and primary concerns. All information given will remain confidential and you only need to share information you feel comfortable disclosing. However, that being said, the more information I have the more accurate I can be in discerning whether this is an appropriate fit that will provide the results you’re looking for. Likewise, this information will help me customize precise treatment strategies that will be used to address your specific needs.

Determine Good Fit. As mentioned above, this style of therapy and level of care is not a one size fits all. You get to decide if this form of therapy feels right for you! There is an abundant amount of therapists out there and we need to find someone that you vibe best with. That being said, different symptoms sometimes require an alternative service or a higher level of care.  If it is determined that there would be a more appropriate service to help you obtain your goals, a referral will be given to help you achieve your desired results.

Create Ongoing Appointments. If we both agree this is a good fit for you and it is within your best interest, ongoing appointments can be made!
